LinkJar helps you save, organize, and return to useful links. Choose what to keep private and what to share. These principles guide how we build it.
Your jar is yours.
Your links are records in your own AT Protocol account. You choose the provider that hosts it and can use other compatible clients.
Private storage.
Private links are encrypted on your device before they are stored. When you request previews, snapshot capture, or cloud AI help, the selected service receives the URL or content needed for that task. Your Recovery Kit lets you unlock your private data.
Choose what you follow.
Your Following feed shows public saves newest first. An optional Discover view shows popular public links ranked by distinct savers. You choose whether to use it.
Take your links with you.
You can download readable links, notes, and board information from this device as JSON. The export lists its omissions; it does not include snapshot files, and LinkJar cannot restore it yet. Your account also supports AT Protocol provider migration.
Quiet on purpose.
Reminders are yours to set. Reading Wrapped can show your past reading activity, including a longest streak, without pressuring you to keep one going.
Source you can inspect.
The source and protocol specification are available to read and review. A repository license has not been selected yet; we will publish that decision alongside the code.
Built on AT Protocol.
LinkJar uses the same open protocol as Bluesky. Your identity and records belong to your account, so keeping your links does not depend on using one app.
Visible progress.
Our roadmap and development notes describe what works today and what remains to be built. Early feedback helps us improve the product before release.
